I have just now realized: The pistol shrimp is the construction worker, and the goby is the foreman!
I love watching these symbiotic relationships. There is a pair at the LFS and my dad and I love watching the shrimp do his thing.

It's amazing to watch them. They work together in everything once paired. My daughter lived them. She wants me to make them come out more often. Lol. I always think its cool how much he can lift. And the way he uses his claws to scoop up the sand. A lot of fun to watch.

No, he puts them together and it acts like a shovel.
