Pistol shrimp & Dottyback pair up?

I saw this 2 weeks ago...

And this today.

They seem to be very friendly towards each other. The Dottyback does not live in the cave with the shrimp, but he lays in front of it at times. I also have a YWG, but he does not seem to interested in committing to a relationship.

I was certainly surprised!

Very odd behavior. I wonder if the Dottie Back is just frustrated because the Shrimp is in the fishes territory.

The Dottyback is from ORA. He could be frustrated, because he has his on cave nearby, but usually I don't even see the shrimp during daytime unless I'm feeding. So he must be feeling safe.
