Added a yellow spotted goby and randalls pistol shrimp to my tank about 9 months ago. Goby lives on one side....pistol lives on the other. They have no interest in one another...

I really want to pair a goby with that shrimp. So question is...would you add a different type of goby to try to pair with it? Is there a different goby that is more likely to seek out a pistol shrimp?

Same thing happened to me.... bought a yellow watchman goby and candy cane pistol shrimp.... pairing failed. I’ve heard that yellow watchman gobies have a higher success rate with tiger pistol shrimps. And yasha gobies have greater success pairing with candy cane pistols.

Try a Wheeler's goby maybe? Similar pattern on them, though I have no idea if they look at each other's "wardrobe" lol
