I didn't really get a lot of info over in the inverts section but to keep a long story short, I found a big pistol shrimp in the bait tank at work, he came from pine island Florida, is green with hints of blue. He is approximately 2.5 to maybe three inches long. He's big. I can't snap a pic because he's never out long enough but he is ornery and wouldn't let my shrimp goby pair with him.

Any ideas?

That's exactly it but there's no brown. Must be because it had been in my tank so long. You wouldn't happen to know any information on them would you?

Not a whole lot - I had done some research on them when I was trying to identify the several different types of pistol shrimp that came with my gulf live rock. This was one of the larger ones - about 2-3" .... for what it's worth, mine was quite a bit greener looking than that photo too. I know they can live successfully in your tank for a long time ..... and they can eat a fair amount of snails!:ohwell: He did ease up on that once I started target feeding him ....lol.

I tried target feeding him the other day and he popped me good! Mean little bugger. But he's not eating anyone yet haha
