Anyone ever seen anything like this? I got this RBTA about a week ago and placed it into my tank where I wanted it. Naturally It moved to a spot it wanted to which was about 8” away from where I placed it and within 5” of my little pistol shrimps lair.
So this pistol shrimp goes to the other side of it and starts beating on it with its claws and just generally ticking it off on one side. The anemone retreated in the other direction and in this way the pistol shrimp shepherded the anemone into a hole it had dug over about 2 hours and made a new cave behind it.
Now my anemone is below the sand line, and it WAS behind a rock, but I moved the rock so that I could actually see it
Anyone ever seen anything like this before? On one hand it’s kind of cool, because it was so unexpected but it was also wicked irritating because I liked the spot it settled into and I’m thinking my clowns probably won’t host in it anymore.
Y’all think I should try to usher him higher in the tank, or just continue to keep my hands outta the tank and let nature take its course?
The red circle is where I placed, the green where it settled, and the blue where it is now
