My pistol shrimp has been in my tank by him self with his watchman goby friend for a while now and every time I add a fish I always here the little crapper fire off his claw and in the morning the fish is dead and I’m not sure maybe my tanks water is deadly? But my file fish was never bothered and yesterday I put a cheap damsel in there just to make sure my waters fine and woke up and I can’t find him but I did here a couple snaps last night did my shrimp kill it?? Anyone have this happen? About a 2” tiger pistol

My pistol shrimp snaps at my fish all the time even some sleep in the same den as him none have been effected
I hear him snap but usually it’s at rocks to break pieces off but I can’t find the fish anywhere and the only place I can think of is his burrow my tank is very open

Idk I disagree they can definitely kill fish I’ve seen a video of one grabbing a tang right out the water column. Mine are 2 clowns they completely disappeared in my nano though they died from Brooklynella.
My pistol has killed most of my snails only advice is to keep him fed.
I also have seen him snap at my damsal and the damsal wasn’t affected so idk maybe it wasn’t a good shot lol

It is highly doubtful the pistol shrimp killed any fish.
I know it’s unlikely but the fish is absolutely I where I even lifted one of the base rocks where my pistol shrimp lives

Hello everyone thank you for the help and input but as embarrassing as it is to say, I found the culprit, and it was the fish itself... ladies and gentlemen, my first jumper
