Pistol Shrimp Question , Breaking Glass ??

i want a pistol shrimp (Randalls) to put with my yellow watchman gobie. called the LFS and they said they do not like getting them because they have been known to break glass. hmmmm any thoughts / accounts on this . thanks

Never heard of a pistol shrimp breaking glass or see how it would be possible.

Lol maybe I can chime in on this one. First there is a myth that a pistol shrimp can snap with the same power of a .22 caliber hence their names pistol shrimp. 2. Also pistol shrimp are considered the "loudest" animal in the sea, reason being If you put a sonar into your tank that sound is at a high enough decibel to break glass, but since non of us has a sonar, well yeah don't worry about it you'll be just fine lol
