Pistol Shrimp Snapping Vaproizes Water?

Stumbled across an article on pistol shrimp on Ars Technica of all places. Thought i'd share since I found it interesting.

Had I not seen my pistol shrimp make a spark by snapping it's claw, I would have called anyone who mentioned such a thing, a liar.
