I have some pretty loud clicking in my tank, I believe it to be a larger pistol shrimp as I have scene the sandbed bulge up as something has moved around. This is some Florida Live rock / sand, I don't believe it to be a mantis as most say you will see it or find its den, spent a ton of time and have not.

Now my issue is every shrimp that goes in the tank, disappears I assume gets eaten, I was able to deal with that but now I have lost 2 small fish a royal gramma and I forget the other.

While I could live shrimpless, this fish thing becomes an issue. Any thoughts on trapping it, it doesn't seem like it will be an easy task. I really don't want to tear apart the tank but thinking that might be the only option.

Anything else come to mind that might be snacking on my additions?

Hmm I have always kept pistol shrimps but never had any fish losses due to it. A mantis would be more likely for the fish loss.

Hope you find whatever the cause may be!
