So i have a firefish goby that has dug a tunnel under the rock work and i would like to add a goby pistol shrimp pair. My concern is that they will take over the firefish's den or worse attack the firefish. Any advice?

They are pretty peaceful I would think worst case is they just push him out to a new spot. If there is room should not be an issue at all. My Goby and Pistol shrimp live on opposite sides of the tank and wont go near each other.

The randalls snapping shrimp is probably the most peaceful and small pistol shrimp, so if you are concerened about the firefish they are not going to do.anything, but tiger pistols can be a bit unpredictable ive read, but normally there shouldnt be a problem adding a partner pistol shrimp

Do you have other options for the firefish? Other caves? If so, I would add a watchman/tiger pair.

I have a randall's pistol with a wheeler's goby, as well as a firefish. No one gets in the way.
If you have emerald crabs, the pistol will kill them off the instant they wander too close to the den.

If your rock is sitting on top of the sand and not down on the glass you should dig it down to make sure it can't shift or settle. My shrimp and goby move house every 3 days and at one point or other have cleared out and lived under every bit rock in the tank.
