I recently decided to go bare bottom on my home tank. This has left me with a conundrum. I had two pistole shrimp in my tank prior to the landless operation. I managed to snag one of the two in my switcheroo. The other has rehomed himself in a pile of rocks.

Is it kosher to place the pistole shrimp in the sand less tank or should I look to move him?

I'm not sure, but I have a large one who found a nice hole in the rock in my bb setup. I know he's happy because he can relax now that he doesn't have to spend his entire day cleaning the sand out of his burrow :)

I always try to give my tank's inhabitants the most natural environment that I'm able. And these shrimp live in sand so I'd either give it sand or re-home it. And the whole point I got a pistol shrimp is to watch him work! lol
