I just got 2 new foods for my corals. They are both from Coral Smoothie and the one is for my SPS and Chalice that's the Oyster Delight and the other is a great coral food that's called Feed the Frenzy. Just did the Oyster Delight tonight with the pumps off and man.... The chalice and sps really grab and hold onto that stuff!

It's a bitter sweet night tonight.... I had to kill my Elephant slug tonight... It was VERY hard for me to kill him tonight but I cought home for the second night in a row munchin on my caps. Yesterday was the very small red cap that I cought him in action on sanding down the surface on. And today he was leaving the seen of the crime on my new blue cap I just got yesterday with a huge spot eaten away. I pulled Him from the tank and the did a scolding HOT water dip and scissor dissection on him while laughing!!! He will no longer be munching on any of my corals!

So I am kinda in a bind... I think... I noticed this morning a slightly cloudy tank. I didn't have time to do anything but when I came home it was cleared up. So I did my test and my Ammonia and Phosphate is high! I have been originally doing water changes 1/week and for the last 2 water changes I have been doing 1 every other week. I guess doing a few water changes this week will help clear this up. Here are my tests.

MG: 1400
KH: 8.4
CA: 420
Phosphate: .8
Nitrite: 15
Nitrate: 0
Ammonia: .5

Suggestions?

Just 10 new frags for the tank yesterday! They are run of the mill stuff but looks nice! Got a real nice rock full of green star polyps that's in my sand bed in the middle of the tank. Also got some green birds nest, 2 pink birds nest, green slimer acro and some other frags.

Very nice addition. Looks great. How's the bottle of food going for the coral?

Thanks Lilmatty5dimes, It's going great. The one I notice the most from is the Oyster feast! That's the stuff I will be getting again! I turn off all my pumps and put it on all my corals even my LPS! They love the stuff!

Nice tank I like all the frags you have. If you have ammonia and nitrite I would add some beneficial bacteria to your tank quick. Looks like its cycling with those numbers but by the looks of it, your tank has been running for a while. You may have added to much too fast. Would watch those they can kill livestock quick. Dr. Tims one and only I hear is good stuff

Leave the acans where they are and be patient. That will be an incredible display once they have grown together into colonies. I like where you are going with this...
