I have one PJC in my dt but have upgraded to a larger tank. I was wondering if I can put my PJ into the new tank and then down the road add a couple more into the new tank>

tank that PJ is in now is a 36 gallon and going to move to a 75 gallon. Dumb question...how do you tell if it is a male or female.

It's hard and even harder when they are young. However sometimes you can tell by the male having a longer secondary dorsal fin.
You should be ok adding 2 others to a 75. Suggest you do both at the same time and during lower light conditions.

Just be prepared for possible fighting. Not your fault if they do. It's just part of keeping a fish that bonds with the opposite sex :)

I see no problem I have a pjc and have added and subtracted all is good very very peaceful fish! Will tell u this don't get them to really watch because they don't swim they sit in one spot all day! or in one part of the tank not to exciting to watch just cool because it looks like they have pj's on lol.

I used to have PJs and was told they do well groups so I was new and put 4 in a 65gal and with in I would say 6 months there was only one left and you see the ones that didn't make it would have wounds ever now and then. so I would +1 on what NanaReefer had to say. they may or maynot fight but if you get lucky with a male and a female who knows maybe one day you'll have babys
