Just bought and arrived at LFS, was allowed to paint back while awaiting my stand arrival. 180 gal reef readt

Tank and stand delivered.

Started filling tank to leak check, and start plumbing.

Changed my mind on the plumbing had a few leaks with loctite sealant, decided to go with pvc glue and primer. Tank leak check was good took 3 days to fill my tank with ro/di water after wiping clean

Decided to move sump for room for future ATO and reactors. And finished plumb changes. Makes it easier to move sump for mx and other related under tank shenanigans.

Finished with the plumbing no leaks, started to paint the stand.

Done with painting mixed saltwater batch to start cycle and started adding Fiji pink sand to tank.

Sadly last post is where I'm at......struggles with aquascape under estimated amount of sand so had to wait on LFS to order hooked me up with $1 per lb on sand though. Just added last of sand been playing around with my live rock waiting for water to clear so I can add rock to tank

This has been a 4 month process to get to the aquascape portion. Next is letting the main display cycle while I setup QT for my first inhabitants aka Black snowflake clowns, my girl wants 4 clowns I think 180 isn't enough to try 4 I told her but thinking get them young all at same time if not prove a expensive lesson but if it works just wait until tank nature eventually chooses the strongest pair.

Sand and aquascape done! Let the cycle begin.

Been working the cycle since last post, used frozen shrimp to start. Just checked ammonia levels today sitting at .5ppm not worried about nitrate and nitrite, know presence been able to grow macro and hair algae
So letting nature take course.

Update: Main tank levels are as follows 0 nitrite/nitrate/ammonia been adding hermits and up to 30 hermits added. Sump algae die off due to competition with chaeto and adding GFO/Carbon reactor, live rock in display is coloring after the 1.5 month cure and die off. Been working QT tank with first fish Coral Beauty, lyretail Anthia, receiving my black snowflake clown pair soon, then looking for another small angel fish. Phase two will be adding tangs. Then maybe the large Angel's and butterfly fish.

Ocean revive light is slowly dying, looking to get a reef breeders photon v2+ 50. should be enough to cover my tank, and be my first longterm reef setup light until I feel I need change. Was planning on getting two more t247s to cut cost but since this one is doing itself In looking at long term solutions, o ly thi g with the photon v2 is shadow casting from my tank cross brackets.
