Pla plastic in reef tank??

Hi,
I’ve set up my first reef tank, a Fluval 13.5 Evo sea, and have seen a lot of poor reviews on its stock flow. Feeling kinda cheap for a wave maker, I found a 3D print model for a random flow generator. If I print this using pla, is that safe? Any experiences with pla plastic in reef tanks?

I'm using it for guards on my wavemakers to keep fish from getting sucked in the back. Works fine. Might not be as long lasting as ABS in the saltwater but wont harm the tank.
