Placement of Aussie Gold Acro

I have had one years ago...but I am now wondering the best place to put the new one. I have different lights now, and dont want to burn it up. I will start low, of course, until it acclimates.
But if I remember correctly, they LOVE light and flow....
I am running 3 Mitras LX lights, at 70%
Any help would be great. also, tips for yellow tip acro would be greatly appreciated.

It's a little hard to make suggestions given the parameters such as light distance from the water. I actually have a PAR meter that I use to identify where I'm really at so I know what areas of the tank will be better for different types of coral.

That said, with three of those lights it sounds like you have a good spread and a decent intensity. So you're probably actually focusing more at the center portion of the tank and not the top. This assuming the top is around the 350 PAR level like most tanks are targeting for setup. The center of the tank would be the 250-300 PAR which that type of coral would appreciate.

I think wild colonies need halides but that’s just me. I think all acros do better with halides.

if you don’t do well with this one consider getting 400w halides next go around.. I was always chasing numbers burning all my acros and the solution was literally halides and kalkwasser to raise pH in the tank.

Thank You. I will likely do just that. I guess I could have given more information...they're about 8 inches off the water, and I run 70%. I remember they like high light and flow, so that's my aim after acclimation. I tried a par meter, but it wasnt working right, so truly I dont know what it is. I have other acros that are starting out, and they're doing well.

I dont do halides, I had them once, and went to LED. Mitras are fantastic lights, and all my other acros are doing quite well. Considering that they are doing good, I dont think I have a light issue I just wasnt sure of where it would do best is all. Thank You
