Placement of Clove Polyp

So I recently got a frag with 5 heads of Clove Polyps about a week ago. I did the acclimation process the right way. Started it at the bottom of the tank and moved him up after 2 days to the middle of the tank. For some reason I can't get more then 1 head to open at a time. All 5 heads were open when I bought it. I've moved it around in different flow areas in the middle of the tank and doesn't seem to change anything.

Anyone have any ideas?
(Water parameters are perfect)
(Need anymore info please let me know)

I'm no "expert" by any means bud but I'll try to help.

What lights are you running?
How far from the frag?
Water flow in that particular area?
Tank water parameters?
How long has the tank been set up?

Like I said I'm no expert and I would like to help lol so all I can do is suggest you take these things into account maybe post these things and someone a bit more knowledgeable will stop by and be able to help. Good luck with the polyps! Love cloves.

55w led dimmable lights
At least 18" from lights
Medium/light flow
Ph 8.0, ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 0, calcium 380, alk 10
6 months. Everything else is fine and growing out of control, that frag is the latest addition and hasn't barely opened up.

I have similar problem...one head broke off, I glued it in higher flow area and its doing better, original not so well...the better one has higher flow...not sure...

I bought two and had the same problem but mine just died. Parameters were good and everything else was doing great. I did end up having a issue with chemical warefare around then though because of a umbrella leather and toadstool that I had purchased. They really hurt my tank. If there's any in your tank, then that may be your issue as well.

Mine are growing out of control, I have a huge frag in high light and low flow that I've been fraging once a week and is still growing too fast. I have another frag (which I planned to grow out) in low light and high flow that is in pretty terrible shape and not growing super fast.

I have tried them a few times. on top of rocks. on the bottom, high flow, low flow. they do well for about six months and then just crap out. all my coral are doing great. I do have a lot of leathers. I just gave up. I run carbon on occasion but it didn't help.
