Placement of corals with powerheads

How close to am mp40 can you place corals?
Directly in front but how much distance? 4 inch, 6 inches, 12 inches?
Placed to the side how far off center from the mp40?I'm talking acros, montis, birds, etc. Obvioudly no lps would survive that intensity

I don’t hit any Stoney corals consistently and directly, but run 5 x 50 times volume dependent on time of day.
