Placement of individual zoa polyps/tips needed

Want to place zoa polyps in specific locations. Can it work? And if you succeeded in doing so, how did you achieve this?

Most of the times it works. But when you want a specific color zoa to go next to something really bad it will not work ROFL!!!!! I tried purple, blue and red hornets and purple didn't want to cooperate lol.
