So how do you recommend rectifying this?
GFO?
GFO can be a quick fix, but it doesn’t deal with the problem. Also, you have to be careful that you don’t drop it too fast.
Sources of phosphate are common in pellets and frozen foods. So you can check there.
Did you start with live rock or dry rock? In my experience, dry rock will absorb phosphates and then suddenly put them back into the water. Happened to me. You’ve got 0 phosphate and nitrate then BAM they go sky high.
A refugium with macro algae can help too.

I started with the caribsea life rock. I don’t feed a ton of pellets. Literally a tiny pinch and the few pellets that hit the ground the hermits scrounge up.

So I tested with my hanna checker (low level not UL) and the phosphate was 0
I've read that the photospectrometer readings are falsely elevated for PO4.
I am planning on rechecking in a day or 2.

I also rechecked my Par with a different meter and my levels range from 280 on rocks up high -100 on the sand

So I'm guessing the reason my corals are becoming pale is due to starvation
I plan on adding more fish as soon as my lid comes and I will begin to dose the RedSea AB+ on a more regular basis with some oyster eggs

Any other ideas or things I should look out for?
