Hey guys. Just bought a 14 inch hang on Refugium and just added a cheato to it. I have questions about it. I'll add a picture. Where exactly does the cheato go? Does it need good movement or circulation? What kind of lighting?
Does it need to be spinning?

I tried a similar situation. I couldn't get enough light to the cheato even though I had it within inches of my dt led light. I also wasn't getting enough flow to it. It completely died out in 2 weeks or so. I'll be interested to see what others say.

Aaron the cheato goes on the right of that wall you see where the skimmer bubbles come out of, that whole area under the return pipe. That whole area is for cheato. The water flow is enough with that pump you running, and no it does not have to be tumbling. As for lighting this one will give you the least headache as it sits right on top of the refugium CPR Aquatic AquaFuge Refugium Light: Aquarium Refugiums & Supplies

You can also make some kind of custom lighting fixture or make some other setup work .

Nice new butterfly fish btw
