Placing zoas

When placing zoas in your tank should you place one frag per island or is it ok to place multiple
Frags of different color on the same island? Can you place a paly and a zoa on the same island or keep them like for like?

Either are great options! If you want to see them together, try searching for "zoa gardens", like the image below:

I tend to be mindful of certain palys around some of my nicer zoas. They have a tendency to overgrow the zoas and shade them out, but it depends on the particular zoas, as some can hold their own
