I have a royal gramma in QT. Today is day 9 of treating with Furan-2 and Kanaplex. My plan was to continue this treatment plan for 10 days. Fortunately, he does eat but he still has color loss, frayed fins, and cloudy patch near tail.

I believe it’s a bacterial or fungal infection. What is an alternative medicine to try if the furan and kanaplex doesn’t work?

Antibiotics take a while to work. I would add metro to that combination. Usually treatment is 2 weeks before you see much improvement l.

You could also get NFG and treat with it, but first remove kana and furan by doing a 100% water change.

Thanks I will try that. I also got him in 1.009 water so if this is a secondary to ich or parasitic, the hypo should eliminate that issue.
