Hey All,

Just starting this as a book mark on my new tank build. I ordered it a month ago and its set to be done at the end of September.

So far the only equipment I have on hand for it is 3 XR15 Pro's

I think the rest of my equipment will be here this weekend. I am trying to do a better job on the progression on this one than I did on my 50.

keep us posted

Got most of the equipment in over the weekend. 2 4k gyres, a Sicce SDC 6.0 and a Maxspect Skimmer, I already have an ATO and now I think I am set for a bit.

The goal is to get an Apex EL with the trident by the end of the year to help me keep everything stable.
If anyone has any other suggestions for keeping the big 3 stable I would appreciate the guidance!

Side note, Found out my tank has a PVC bottom, didn't realize it when I ordered but was pleasantly surprised!

Well, I bought an apex El and trident. Was probably my most expensive impulse buy lol. I went ahead and set it up on my 50 Gallon

I should be adding rock and sand in this weekend, Here are some empty tank photos. The rock is cooking in bleach and should be ready by Friday.

The wife as approved the 50 as an eel tank after everything is moved over, so that should be awesome!

Nice! I just bought a used Planet 90g with the same tideline overflow. Just curious how well the overflow works. Keep us updated.

Alright so it's been awhile since an update I apologize, work has been insane. But the tank is running! Overflow isn't bad but is a little noisy. I'm glad it's not in the living room.

Also I'm really happy with my lighting choice. I really like the Mobius app and I think eventually I'll switch the flow to MP's.

Tank caught velvet, down to 2 clowns and a wrasse..The purple tang has been pulled and moved to an offsite system in hopes that he will recover. It has been a rough week

I did a terrible job of keeping up this build thread. After my velvet issue the tank went fishless. I lost everything except my goby.
I installed a 40 watt UV and let it run for a month before adding new fish.
The tank is packed with corals now and a few fish. I will upload pictures later in the day. The stocking list is a Yellow Watchmen goby, 3 clowns, Scopas tang, Convict Tang, Yellow Mimic Tang ( new addition currently battling aggression) Lamarck angel, Orange back fairy wrasse and a One spot foxface.

The UV seems to have done the trick and also changing where I purchase fish from. I did finally swap out the gyres with MP-40s and sold off the Apex in favor of GHL.
