Hey all.
I'm planning to upgrade my shallow 80gal aio to a 90gal with a sump.
I want to redo my aquascape.
Along with getting rid of the dinos I'm battling.

I have alot of questions though.

First how should I go about getting rid of the dinos? I have some Ideas but wanna se what pepole think.

Also I'm planning on getting some more rock. I started with dry rock but I was planing to get some Florida live rock (looks good, intoduces biodiversity and could help with preventing future dinos.) and maybe some sand to go along with it. I will be reusing my old sand after extensive washing.
(I know the hitchhiker risk.)
This is also part of how I wanted to redo my aquascape.
The sand I was hoping to get a deeper sand bed to make my lta happy.

Also most of my corals are still on frags only a few are actually attached to the rock.
I'd like to know on yalls input on how I can rid the dinos (without re-cycling the tank) and how I can redo my aquascape while also including the live rock.

The dinos issue was caused by phosphates being 0... I've shut off the skimmer too. Also feeding more. Currently out for vacation right now.

Thank yall,

UV sterilizer is what worked for me. I tried several things and nothing helped. Maybe do some research and see if yours is sized right / has the correct flow rate for dinos. Or maybe the UV “bulb” needs to be replaced?

I got it only a few weeks ago. It is a bit too small for my tank. It also only has about half the tanks flow through it. But that's as much as I can get unless I get a second.

I’m definitely not an expert on this but I got one that was slightly oversized for my tank and dialed back the pump to get the right flow through it. It was really the only thing that seemed to help. I don’t know if I gave it more time if the tank would mature past them or not.

Depending on the type of Dino’s you have there are different ways to get rid of each kind. Only way to know is by putting under a microscope
