I don't have much in the way of corals yet but I was instructed to use phyto to help compete against GHA.
I employed a number of strategies including phyto and after a few months it worked. So I dose 50ml a day to my 130 gallon as a preemptive strike.

I feed daily. Top reason is to feed copepod population and help keep it sustained for mandarins. I also add since corals seem to benefit from it as well. It is the basis of life so has to be some other benefits from it.
