Planning an RO/DI system

I am contemplating setting up the Aqautic Life Twist In 4 stage unit in my laundry room, which isn't large. A couple questions I have are...
1. Will an in-line TDS meter work with this system?
2. The waste water... Will it go down the same hole beside the washing machine waste water tube, or will I have to put a hole in the washing machine's waste tube? Or is there another option?

I run my waste down the washer drain with no issues. Other than the one time it slipped out...

I'd assume a tds meter will work as long as it uses 1/4" line.

Yes the washer drain will work. Suggest a couple of zip ties to keep it from popping out. Works for me.

Highly suggest the in-line TDS meter if you can get it to work with your system. I have a BRS RO/DI unit. I use it to watch when I'm flushing the system before making RO/DI. Save your filter material, use the by-pass flush while monitoring with the TDS meter. When it counts down to zero, switch from "flush" to making RO/DI. Easy peasy.

Couple of thoughts for you:
*For an RODI system, a 3-probe (not 2-probe) TDS meter is ideal. You want to know tds of the feedwater, RO water, and DI water.
*Regarding Big G's comment above - understand the difference between a flush valve, and a DI bypass - they are two very different things intended for two different purposes.
