I am looking to get a RBTA for my tomato clown in my new tank. He is a jerk but hey even jerks need a home. My plan is to introduce the RBTA to the tank first to give it time to settle before the devil moves in. My question is because this tank is "new", as in an upgrade, how long should I wait to begin looking for an anemone? I am three weeks post any sign of a cycle. Really didn't see much of a cycle even with new liverock added. The plan is to get a tester coral first this week just want to know if I am still looking at the 6 months to a year range. Diablo would not like that...[emoji49]

When you say upgrade, is it all new rock and sand or did you transfer rock and sand from an old system? Any other fish? What size tank?
It is fresh ocean rock and a new sand bed. Right now there are only four fish in there but i have more to add over time. It is a 220 gal. The rock came in great condition with live brittle stars and see squirts.

I don't mind posting pics and water parameters later to give a better idea

Thanks you guys. My first corals should be in place by the end of the week. I will give them and the fish in the tank a month to month and a half before adding anything else. The RBTA and clown fish will just have to wait their turn for a while. Looks like the anemone will be going in on the fourth or so add if everything goes well and can follow the every 1.5 to 2 month schedule.
