I'm looking to start my first reef tank soon. I've kept freshwater tanks before but haven't for several years. I recently inherited a nice 75g tank and have been doing some reading to figure out what all I'll need to get into keeping a reef tank. I'm hoping to have a mixed tank with lps, sps and anemones. I'm starting from scratch and so far the only thing I actually have is the 75g display tank. I'm planning to build a sump using a 20g tank with a second 20g tank as a refugium. Currently I'm still trying to make a list of everything I'll need to keep this tank healthy before I start purchasing things. I'm a little uncertain about what lighting I should get. I'm currently considering the Current USA Orbit Marine Aquarium LED Light with an upgrade next year to add a Kessil AP700. I'm also planning to add an automatic top off system next year as well. Please let me know what you think about my equipment list and if I need to add or change anything.

I would choose 2 Black Box led like Viparspectra or Mars Aqua either 2 165watts or one 300 watts.
Get a better testing kit than API.
Save yourself some money and go with less rock.

Welcome to the salty side. :-)
