Good Evening,
I have a redsea 425XL that has been up and running for about 6 months ago. When I first set up the return pump I used flexibile tubing from my sicce sdc 7.0 pump fitting to the return pipe on the tank. I was not thinking when I set it up and used a metal clamp that has a screw and tightens down and I caught it and hit myself on the head about 3 months later and took it out. This was on the waterside and I still have one on the side by the pipe that runs into the tank. The one in the water of course was rusting and was not going to be good for anything.
I have microbubbles in my tank and have been wondering why and looking in my return chamber the flexible tubing on the pump end is leaking a little bit of water out when the pump is running. That is telling me that air is getting into the line since I am actively leaking and creating.
I have seen that there are the plastic hose clamps on BRS but how sturdy are those clamps? Or should I work on going for a more permeant rigid piping solution? I have never done any piping before so always a little nervous espically with the metric to imperial conversion and what size pipes to use. I have a looked a little but the one thing that always holds me up is just the red sea part on the return pipe to a metric.
Thanks for any advice!
