Plate coral - alive or dead...??

This is my first ever plate coral. Just got it a few days ago. Not looking like I expected. Curious if this seems normal for a

Oh no...did you glue it to the rock? That video is of its underside. It's alive, but It's upside down.

Hah... luckily I only used one drop of glue. Pulled and flipped him and he’s orange now. Lol...
