think the plate coral will be ok eating the tang? Hippo tang wasn’t looking so good this morning .

It's what they're made to do.
If it has some kind of trouble with it, it'll probably expel the carcass on its own. I wouldn't worry much about disease-transfer if that's what you mean.
And at this point, removing the carcass is probably more likely to damage to the coral than just letting nature do its thing.
