Plate Coral long tentacle dying?

Hello Guys
From approx a month I got this plate coral,since I got it I noticed that there is something not good..
There was a zone that was "naked"

this is the coral in the few days I got it,there is a small part on it,that is missing tentacles that was there since I got it..not very visible on the picture,because it is on the back of it..
That time the coral was doing fine.. tentacles were showing...(like in the pic) But since few days now,the coral is really going into a bad shape.. the "naked zone" is getting bigger,I can see the skeleton,and the tentacles are not showing at all.. only at night a bit.. Even the naked part are being covered with some brown algae..
Is it dying?
It is on the sand,with medium light,and medium to low flow..

One more thing,I am not getting it,if it dies,will it releases toxic substances? Should I remove it before it dies?

I would trying dipping it and see if that helps.

Yeah it is a thing to try.. I just saw that pieces from the tentacles of this coral are on the sand.. This is not good.. Do plate coral release something toxic when they die? or I can keep it in my tank with no problem..?

It's been my experience that Heliofungia can be difficult. They succumb easily to tissue damage, and are sensitive to swings in parameters, especially Alkalinity.

The coral will not foul the water as it dies. Unlike Fungia I do not know if Heliofungia shares the same ability to grow new buds off a skeleton even when the coral appears completely and utterly dead.

Perfect,so I don''t need to worry about keeping it in the tank.
Yeah you are right,I read somewhere that these coral can live again after a month from its death..
Hopefully something like that will happen..
I will keep you updated guys!
As for saving it I think it is too late.. it is loosing its tentacles..
