Plate coral losing meat

50-50 on whether it will recover or continue to recede - especially if whatever caused it is still present. What are your water parameters like and when you added the new pump did it really stir up the sand bed?

Didn't really stir up the bottom. Only running at half power. But it was under direct flow.
It looks tohave stopped receding. Just hoping it recovery.
Nitrates have been at 4p and not real stable still trying to get that under control.
Everything else looks OK
Will test all later today

Depending how long it was exposed to the direct flow that's probably the root cause. I had one of my plates damaged as well and basically just left it alone, continued feeding and ensured it had good light and water parameters. It's probably recovered 95%.
