Plate Coral

They like to be fed and I feed mine about once a week a few pieces of mysis. I notice they tend to like areas that are lower flow as well with low/medium light. I guess treat them like a normal LPS coral :).
i heard they move?

I have had some do if they do not like the spot. They will inflate their tissue and move over to a more decent location. The ones that did for me tended to do that which were more in a very low flow area.
ok ty!

They like the sandbed. They do move. You don't have to target feed them. They eat fine with frozen that you feed your tank.
thanks mom! im so happy to get one! its a short tentacle tho... :(

The more vividly colored ones take a while to acclimate. Like a month. The green ones do well in about a week. IME

im picking up a green one tomorrow. but am ordering a more colorful one with a trachy through my LFS

I had my plate coral for a couple of years and then one day it started to just go downhill and die. I've heard of them having babies so I moved it from the front of the tank to the back instead of removing it. A few months later while cleaning the tank I noticed some growths on it and moved it to the front of the tank to keep an eye on it. It's a slow process but the babies are getting bigger.
