I have two plate corals I purchased about a month ago. The green one picture shows it’s short tentacles and eats pieces of shrimp. The orange coral has never shown tentacles and does seem interested in shrimp at all. Does anyone know if this type should have tentacles? If it should is there a reason it’s staying closed up? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Alex

My orange one always had shorter tentacles.

Thank you. Were you able to feed it? If so what did you feed it?

Looks like the orange isn't doing too well.
They should both have tentacles, It should also be just as interested in food. Here's one I kept

Mysis and tropic marin LPS pellets were always accepted foods.

Thank you. I’ll keep an I on it and hope it turns around
