Honestly you don't have to feed you plates at all. I have three and don't go out of my way to feed them. From the looks of you plate with those long tentacles he will probably grab frozen or pellet food from the water when you feed you fish.

cool but sometime i target feed my chalice table shrimp will that be fine for this guy?

I've had my orange plate for 4 years. I feed it every once in awhile as a treat. But It's no required

Thanks for the reply guys i will feed it table shrimp once in awhile just to keep it healthy

Nice color - I like heliofungias -

Mine seems to be pretty good at feeding itself, but I have alot of fish and feed pretty hard. I've had these get really big fast and they can and will catch fish...

Most shrimp sold for human consumption are soaked in a phosphate solution to prevent moisture loss and keep them plump and fresh looking...go easy.

well i have to feed it for now its in a frag tank with no fish until it can handle harder flow

Agree with robert it looks like a heliofungia or long tentacle plate. I feed my plates a few times a week. May not be necessary but they do grow faster with feedings. Just keep in low light and flow.
