I cannot seem to keep these guys. I have tried twice with small frags and both bleached and died. Now I have a nice bigger piece of a gorgeous Jason Fox I bought from a friend and the same is happening. I did have a dosing Pump issue which raised my mag to 1800 and calcium to 700 the magnesium is under control but my calcium is still high. I have it towards the bottom of a 90 gallon tank under an ATI 8 light fixture. My phosphates are between 0 and .05 using a Hannah checker. Nitrates are between 2-5 SG 1.025, alk 9.5 mag 1450 calcium 700 temp 78-79 I have had this particular coral about a month. I seem to have the same problem with birds nest. Any ideas or suggestions?

You say you had a issue with your dosing pump, did it also effect your Alk. I find my Monti are very sensitive to Alk swings.

Dosing probs aside , how is the flow there.

The picture looks like a fairly common green monti. No?

No alk has stayed right around 9.5. I use the Triton Core 7 system alk should actually be a little lower. I’m working on slowly dropping that.
