Those dots are mucus spores from ich both past and pre-existing. This fish will have to be quarantined and treated. Coppersafe would be a safe medication at therapuetic level of 2.25-2.5 at 80 degrees and you will need a reliable test kit to monitor level- No API kit either.

Thanks for the tip on iodine and sponge power! The rot has almost completely healed and sponge has noticeably grown since we’ve been adding both, just in about a week!
