I have two Platygyra sin my tank both are receding and I have had them for 6 months with no Goethe and just recently both started to recede. Feeder tentacles never come out and I have the first placed three inches off the bottom in my Nuvo 20 the second I have placed up near the top even with my montipora. I have tried feeding them but they never seem to accept.
Water parameters are
Salinity 1.026
Phosphate 0.08
Nitrate undetectable with current api test new Red Sea on its way
Ph 7.8 as of this morning before lights come on
Alk 7.5
Calcium 460
Any help would be appreciated. I would hate to lose theses. All the other corals are doing well.

I personally don't really see anything wrong with your parameters. Lps, for the most part like low to medium light and flow. The platys I have had all seem to like low light and low flow. The one platy you have even with the sps frag is probably getting way to much light and flow. I have always tried and keep them in dead flow areas of the tank.

What is the temp of the tank?

78 degrees. Think I should move that one down. I have a Hollywood stunner chalice on the sandbed that has double in size that I bought at the same time should I put them down near that?

I would, also, if your tank flow is anything like mine, checked the corners, sometime they can be turbulant, but more often than not the corners have nice and smooth water movement.

You can also dip the corals in a dip that contains iodine to help them recover.

Ok like I said I am waiting on my new nitrate test to show up, however I am battling some dinoflagellates and I have neo neonitro in the way if I need to up my nitrate levels to get rid of Dino’s and help the coral health in my tank.
