I think this is a platygyra, it's been awhile since I bought it. Anyways, I just noticed these white squiggly lines coming off it and were wondering what they are.

Is this the begining stages of it growing? I touched the lines and they are hard so it's not organic as far as I can tell.

Any help would be appreciated.

calcium based tube worms, tiny feather dusters.

+1 tube worms or feather dusters

Platygyra doesn't exhibit any kind of 'white' growth areas. It just slowly gets bigger. One day, it's the size of a grape. A few months later you'll pass by the tank and realize, wow, it's now the size of plum.
