What species or commercial name of Zoanthid is this? I have a nice colony of them, some larger than a half dollar. They also willingly eat large pieces of mysis.

I have seen differnt names and yes that one is big . They sure do like to eat for sure . I will see if I can find a name . Maybe I can ask for an ID and see what kind of response I get .

I asked about a name and it's been awhile without a response. I like to ask questions that can be difficult to answer ;)

Tonight when the fish go to bed I'm going to feed each polyp a piece of mysis. I'm suprised these don't go by Venus fly trap. Thanks for a name @Pruett-nc . I've been calling them mothership ufo's just because I like the name :D.

Lol I read a post on some other website that some had one eat a piece of Kenya tree that had broken off . Someone else said they can be invasive but aren't most zoas and paly's multipliers . Anyway I think they are cool and bright .

I use my Orange viewing glasses as a filter. But yes a combination of the filter and playing with the built in contrast on the phone made the photo. Not trying to hijack the thread just helping anyone else and the OP on this subject from experience with my phone as well here's a last one for kicks.
