Is there anyone on this forum running plazma led . If so what brand are you running. I think the main company is out of Holland. There name is Gavita. Anyone please let me know how they are .

Plasmas are not LEDs. Stray Light Optical sells them in the US - great company. I ran 2 plasmas over my 150G for years before I took the tank down (started with Stray Light's beta test units). I loved them, and they grew corals like crazy. I loved the color rendition personally, but they do not provide that windex water look if that is what you are after. They are very controlleable and a great choice IMHO.

What kind of spread did you get from them. I am looking to put them over a 4 foot by eight foot tank 18 inches high. I only house anemones . Ranging from mertens to Gigantea .Thanks jestersix , did you take any par reading , I already talked to stray light looking for other options .
Somewhere in my old tank thread there is a PAR post...Tanks was 6 foot x 2 fooot and 20in high. Solid coverage of 2x4 from a single Stray Light fixture. Mine were mounted 16 inches over the waterline.

There was a US company at the 2012 MACNA in Dallas that was promoting a plasma fixture. It needed led to supplement blue spectrum and it ran nearly as hot as a metal halide. I was looking to switch from MH to leds and the plasma system didn't impress me very much. I didn't see them at this years MACNA. If I find the name of the company I'll let you know... but it's doubtful.
