I have a week old sebae nem and when I got him home and acclimated his blue tips were showing.then he was floating for a while I had heavy argrnite in the tank and he didn't seem to be able to plant himself in that do I slowly took all substrate out and replaced with a fiber sand.but not powddery sand as it blows everywhere from power heads..he didn't want to stick on that substrate either..I then cleared a nice section with rock to keep sand away at least till he is nice and stuck to glass..he is been stuck for about 24 hrs now..woke up and still same spot except blue tips again but very stubby tentacles..I fed him some mysis and he took it.. I want to ask a few questions if I can get some suggestions.he doesn't seem to extend hisxtrnatavles as I believe it should..please help.my tank and setup is as follows.30 gsllon lifegard all in one.lighting is a viperspectra 165 w led 8 inches from water surface..70% blues 5-10%o. Whites looks good to my eyes.flow is as follows. Jaboe sow-4wave pump and jaboe sow-8 on the oposite side of tank. Med flow..my tank is stocked with a long tentacle nem some other various softies..red fire shrimp, dragonet blenny,a paired set of pink skunks..a small occrlaris and a larger picasso.yes against the norm but I had no choice as my son's tank cracked and the occrlaris and pucasson had to go in. Honestly I keep a very close eyes but as of now all is good..now the smallest occrlaris toon to long tentacle..honestly they all like it no one touch seabae yet..any suggestions on lighting etc to get the seabae to extend tenticles I do dose with kents purple up and kend part a/b nano supplement.light schedule is 12hrs light 6wuth whites and 6just blues and moonlights all night..

Anyone... Thanks in advance

That looks like a really shallow sand bed?
Try a wider piece of PVC with sand in a moderate to lower flow area.
I would try reducing photoperiod and intensity for a week. I have this fixture.
Parts A/B should be sufficient, I would not dose Purple Up at this point, one or the other not both. R2R peeps are going to want basic chem

Tank looks pretty nice thus far.

Thank you.. it looks nice cause I dedicated to my animals I haven't slept over this seabae.. can you explain the pvc purpose I'm a bit confused.. like make a circle with pvc around nem and put sand in it but not around outside? Yes my sand bed started at 3"Or more..had bare bottom for a bit but not my liking.. the lights 8" above water? Thanks only about 16" deep.. during the day I got it at 70 blues and very little whites like 1-2 max it's to my liking I don't think any matter to live stock..the whites that is..do those number sound right? Just a FYI no issues with water quality..weekly 5 gallon wc..I hope it's a seabae and not a bubble

Chem is as follows:
Salinity 1.026
Ph 8.4 prob a bit high from dosing two chems?
Phosphates @ 0
Nitrates @ 20 (found large piece of silverside decaying on rock? Maybe? Just did a wc yesterday
Calc is @ 400
Hardness @196.6

So.. I didn't have a big pvc coupler so I found this in my kitchen lol..prob hear it from the wife..lol anyways..I put it around nem no sand yet and I woke up to two clowns sleeping in and around it..as far as the nem he stuck some spot again and loks better but still no longer tentacles except in the night I saw him blowing around pretty hard does not a 100% but better today..any suggestions besides let sand in a bit at a time..when can I remove pvc etc..and get rocks back to normal?here is a pic of him today..and thanks again..

Well I put sand. Hope it sticks and stats..

It might be a Heteractis Crispa which is also called a Sebae anemone but dwells in a rocket crevice and not the sand. As long as it’s not floating, it will root itself and move to where it’s ideal for itself based on the water flow.

don’t worry about the tentacle length. When they are young they always look like that. Give it time and it will adjust.

I have also had no problems keeping the LTA and Sebae together.

So in fact it's a crispa and has settled in a nice rock in it's new home and now the lta has a larger long tenticles close by but not to close..pics to follow on a new post I put up with a new dilema... Hope you guys read and send some advice thanks in advance..and as always have a fishy day..https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/ro-di-or-tap.735131/
