I like the Vectra a lot... I am only using it in return mode but it's super quiet and with the adapter kit very easy to connect vinyl tubing to. I am not using the blue collars. It's a single 1" return hose split off into two sections inside the overflow for dual side returns. I run it at 100% and it really moves a lot of water for my sized tank.

How do you like the Vertex Alpha 250 on the 180g? I'm building roughly the same system and was wondering on the consistency of the skimmer and how easy it is to keep it dialed in.
