This is not Aiptasia :)
There, I said it ;), but really it isn't. My guess is either some type of sponge or leather, but I'm having a hard time telling what exactly.

Doesn't look like aiptasia or mojano (the problem nems). I don't know what it is but it does look like a leather of some sort to me as well!

it was the latest rock i added and for some odd reason i was thinking it bit im no expert. thanks for clarifying it with me. so grateful with the experts on here.

if you touch it what does it look like... meaning does it shrink up or do the polyps contract... also what color is it under blues 0_O

I have something similar but mine turns green under lights... I didn't even know I had it until it began to grow out over time

ok look at the first pic then see this pic...it moved and so did thr other one....im curious to what this could be.

ive had this tank going on 8 years...nothing crazy until couple days ago when i added the live rock pictured.

Anemone of some sort but which, I don't know.

Not Kenya. They cannot move much if at all not in that span... bleached baby ball nems maybe?

Send em to me, I'll take em off yer hands! ;Smuggrin
Seriously, they look really cool. Couldya get an actinic shot? Doesn't have to be good, just discernible.

Edit: ;Facepalm What about RFA?
'Nother edit: Yeah, no way a Kenya moved that much in that time. And how round and symmetrical each are? Very likely to be an anemone, my guess would be a rock flower, or a Corynactis.

But that's the thing. It could be a tiny polyp of any big nem. Does it eat? Open and close? Has it moved again?

sorry for the delay. rock was from a store. it has moved though...couldnt take actinic pics last night. one is on the other side of the rock from last pic the other is on the glass
