Is JB water weld really good? I have an issue with fish in my son's tank knocking off glued pieces. I'm pretty sure they are plotting together and have a point system. Zoa 5 pts, leather apparently is the bonus coral.

Never used JB underwater weld. Is it considered reef safe?

Have you tried using the reef safe two-part epoxies?

Or as our engineer likes to say "All epoxies are two part."

Your skimmer will temporarily go insane but they work a lot better than Super Glue.

They come in obnoxious bright white, a reddish color (not really coralline, but a lot less distracting than the white) and a grey/greenish color.

If you need to move the corals a year from now try using a twisting and pulling motion to get it to break off.

I have never used epoxy in a reef. Hmmm.

It comes in a tube/roll about 6 inches long and you just slice off what you need with a knife.
Use a junk knife.

I think Instant ocean was the brand I used last?

I always get a water change after adding five or six flags in permanent homes.

Lately I've just been cheating with super glue.

Well, this happened yesterday.
If this happened to anyone else I would be laughing my fool head off.
So here's you morning chuckle....

Helpful Pro Tip - never try to remove the cap on a previously used tube of superglue with your teeth.

Why nothing. Nothing happened. [emoji849]

After I scraped it off my tongue.
And brushed it off my teeth.
Glad I had an extra toothbrush.
Really really glad it was a tiny little bottle!

I can't say a whole lot, you would think I wouldn't glue my fingers together again today mounting frags, and so far as anyone knowing, IT DIDN'T HAPPEN!!! LOL!!!

If you use kalkweiser in your auto top off water it can clog the tube. It’s happened to me

Same happened to me; therefore, I don't put kalk in my ATO any more. Sadly, it worked well otherwise (and I would have stuck with it were it not for precipitation clogging tubing). I now use one-part and am seeing how that goes (calcium formate from Tropic Marin); so far, so good.

Well, I really winged it again this time ! Managed to leave the filter filling my my ato barrel All night ,the next day & late into the next . Not sure but I created a back siphon & almost over flowed the sump. I have no idea how much of a drop in salinity I have created. I just couldn't test it. So now I must wait for a good 7 to 10 gls to evaporate until the water level drops back to normal level. The tank is a 180 with 75 gl sump. Around 200 gls total.
Only 5 fish & 2 soft corals. Everybody seems ok today but still. Now I have to install some type of shut off float valve whatever contraption. When will I learn?? o_O

Oops.

At least dropping quickly is less damaging than raising quickly.

Bleah, this is why I still carry 1 gallon jugs. [emoji53]

I need to walk back in to the first room to remember why I walked into the second room way too often. [emoji849]
