I have.a 29 gallon biocube.
Running ai prime 16hd (using brs settings)

getting an average of 110-150 par where the torches are.
I have Nero 3 places on the back wall) and random flow set between 40-65%

my touches and hammers suck. They aren’t flowing or extending. In fact, you can see skeleton from them receding.

Chemistry is pretty consistent. I do a 25% water change using tropic Marin pro reef salt every week

Kh = 9.3
Ph = 8.1
Mg = 1400
Ca = 450
Temp is a super steady 77.5 at all times.
Salinity is super steady at 1.026
Nitrates = 5.4
Phos = .077 (getting lower and lower since I added a refugium to the back chamber)

help. I don’t know what else to do.

I posted a video of right right side of my tank that’s thriving and all the to riches and hammers look awful. When I moved some torches a few weeks ago ( I rarely move them because I know they freak out) some of the polyps on my hammers came off. Maybe polyp bailout… but I don’t understand why they are so stressed if my levels are good and consistent.

Some people have been having issues with Tropic marine pro salt. They had a recall from the salt made from the Turkey batches. (Didn’t use the word recall but released a carefully worded statement to the same effect.) Some others have had issue with the German made stuff, while others are happily reefing away.

I am going to swap away from it. I haven’t had it mix to what they claim on any batch I’ve gotten. Might as well use something cheaper if I’m gonna have to doctor up the levels so much anyway.

I’m having a similar problem and I believe it’s my phosphates are too low. I tested a few days ago with my Hanna Phosphate checker and got 0. Then I tested my water with the Hanna ULR Phosphorus checker and got 33. Which is 0.101 looking at Hanna conversion chart. So instead of feeding my corals Benepets every Wednesday and Friday I’m switching to Reef Roids to see if I get some phosphates.
