So, my XXL Male Dusky Wrasse (Halichoeres annularis) who I've had for almost a year now accidentally scratched himself while looking for food in the rocks and looks like the cut was deep enough to cause some sort of fungal or bacterial infection? He's had it for about a week or so.. was hoping that it would resolve on its own.. but it's been the same.. starting to get a little worried.. what would be the best course if action at this point?

I would probably go ahead and start antibiotics if it has been a week.

Do you have NFG on hand? If not you can use the trifecta. Metroplex, Kanaplex, and Furan-2. Either way this should be done in a QT.

Yes I'd continue the others until you get the Furan-2.

Fungus is very uncommon in marine fish, I doubt that it’s fungal. White growth is likely lymph, which is very common in fish that are sick or weakened from other ailments. I’d treat as suggested

Only metro + Kanaplex until you get Furan-2.

GC combined with those is too much medication on the fish at once. Plus it contains metronidazole so you'd be overdosing using it in combination with Metroplex.

I use GC stand alone as the last part of my QT process.

Should I make some general cure/focus soaked foods to help get it on the inside of the fish as well? Or soak food in other medications?
