Would 2 clowns, 1 fire fish, 1 chromis, 1 royal gramma, and 1 clown goby be pushing it?

I'm wondering if adding the clown goby and royal gramma be pushing my tank limit. I have a 29 gallon fowlr

need more information, but based on the info yes for that size tank you will be fine, BUT you just can't add all those at once you'll stress the system by adding too many fish at once. I would add 2 fish at a time then wait 2-3 weeks have the water tested and then add more fish and so on. Hope this helps

You should be fine you're adding 2 fish the clown goby and the royal gramma just watch the royal gramma for aggressiveness towards the others some can be mean others get along fine.

I already have had the clowns fire fish and chromis for a while, now I wanted to buy the clown goby and royal gramma

I heard fire fish and royal gramma don't go together?:(

Why I said to watch for aggression but I'd say don't try if it was a purple firefish because of the coloring

Similar colors, similar shaped body is usually an indicator for possible aggression among fish. Both the Gramma and the Dart are fairly passive fish so you might be able to get away with, the size of your tank does not work in your favor though.

Just bought him with the clown goby and I do have a purple fire fish, so am I basically screwed? Or do I still have hope

Always hope lol just keep eye on them and as Tahoe said tank size would be the factor in play as well feed well n best of luck. Hopefully you have a qt ready to go at home for them.

I had a fire fish and a royal grama together in my 60g when it was up and they were fine together, BUT that was a larger tank so...

Actually I am more inclined to think the clowns will be far more interested in the new comers than the Dart fish. I would not too concerned yet. Turn off the lights during introduction.

I've had a purple firefish and a royal gramma in a 29, and I had no problems. Firefish was added first, which is key. It may or may not work for you, but the combo is far from certain doom and has worked before.

Oh man I'm screwed
I'm sorry but I have been reading your threads from day one.
You are adding all these fish with no thought to your tank.
Seriously when I said slow it down I MEANT slow it down.
There is nothing more hurtful than seeing fish or coral die for no reason.
Again... slow it down!
